Concessions are available for students (including children/young people), forces/reserves, senior citizens, CFCs (cared for & carers).  Motorcycle club members (Manx MCC, Vintage MCC, etc.), MGP and TT marshals, MGP riders and teams (on presentation of valid ID at the Welcome Centre or box office) will all qualify for concessionary prices.

There is also a “12 for 10” (12 tickets for the price of 10) group booking deal available (for each individual concert) and the early bird deal also applies to this.

Weekend Masterclasses (Saturday & Sunday) are presented in association with Peter Norris Music and all will be held at the shop in Finch Road Douglas.

Saturday Masterclasses

10.30am to 12 noon - Pierre Bensusan (DADGAD/Alternative Tunings Masterclass);

1pm to 2.30pm – Gary Ryan (Classical Workshop); and

3pm to 4.30pm – Rod Clements (Slide Masterclass).

Sunday Masterclasses

1pm-2.30pm Roger Inniss (Bass Guitar workshop); and

3pm-4.30pm – Gordon Giltrap (Composition).

Masterclasses are priced at £5 per class for adults, £3 for young people.  Masterclass “pass” available giving admission to all 5 masterclasses for £12.50 (£7.50 young people)

Tickets for masterclasses are available on a “first-come first-served” as numbers are limited.

An innovation at GuitarFest 2009 is the Manx Telecom Acoustic Stage is an innovation at GuitarFest 2009.  Thanks to the generous support of Manx Telecom, the Acoustic Stage will be a forum for local acoustic guitarists (comprising all styles of guitar playing) and for visiting support acts to entertain the Manx public free of charge.  This will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons in the newly opened arcade at the Villa Marina Entertainment Complex (the “Villa Arcade”).
